System Requirements

To install and use the SpeakQ plug-in, you need:

• WordQ 2.x software pre-installed
• A Windows PC with 1 GHz or higher processor speed(2+ GHz preferred)
• Windows® XP, Vista (32-bit and *64-bit)
• 1GB+ MB RAM
• Sound card, noise-canceling microphone (headset or desktop), and headset or desktop speakers.

 Please Note: Windows NT, 2000, ME/98 are no longer supported in versions 1.5 or newer.

Note: In 64-bit Vista, SpeakQ 1.5 will only function with 32-bit applications such as Microsoft Office 2007 and 32-bit Accessory applications located under \Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories.
 

Network and single station requirements/hardware configuration

WordQ/SpeakQ has been designed for individual workstations with single or multiple users. That is, only one user may run a single installation at a time. However, that copy of WordQ/SpeakQ may open and run more than one user vocabulary file. There are no limits on the number of user vocabulary files used with one WordQ/SpeakQ installation.

WordQ v2.2-2.6 and SpeakQ v1.2-1.6 may installed with network support where WordQ/SpeakQ are installed as part of a master image on a workstation that is locked down with DeepFreeze or similar program. In this situation, all user files (word prediction and speech recognition) are saved on remote server in each user’s network workspace (User drive). See FAQ WordQ and SpeakQ Network Installation.

Configurations Techniques

PC

Le logiciel WordQ 2.x (version française) doit être installé sur votre ordinateur. SpeakQ est un programme qui se greffe à WordQ.

• Processeur 1 GHz ou mieux (2 GHz ou plus, idéalement)
• Windows Vista Francais seulement (Vista 32 bit*) nécessaire (NOTE: Win XP is not supported)  
• Mémoire vive 1 Go (ou plus)
• Carte de son, microphone, écouteurs ou haut-parleurs

*Note: Sous Windows Vista 64 bit, la reconnaissance vocale n'est pas encore supportée.

WordQ a été conçu pour des postes de travail individuels à un ou plus d’un utilisateur. Ce qui signifie qu’un seul utilisateur peut exploiter une installation à la fois. Toutefois, un exemplaire de WordQ peut ouvrir et exécuter plus d’un fichier de vocabulaire d’utilisateur. Il n’y a aucune limite quant au nombre de fichiers de vocabulaire d’utilisateur utilisables avec une installation de WordQ.

WordQ peut être installé directement sur un poste de travail individuel ou utilisé en réseau. WordQ peuvent être installés sur réseau lorsque WordQ est installé en tant que composante d’une image maîtresse dans un poste de travail verrouillé à l’aide de DeepFreeze ou d’un programme similaire. Dans une telle situation, tous les fichiers d’utilisateur (prédiction des mots) sont enregistrés sur serveur éloigné dans l’espace de travail de chacun des utilisateurs (disque utilisateur).
