               The history of cats is fascinating and mysterious. The creature we know as cat probably appeared around 3000 B.C. in a country called Nubia, which bordered Egypt. In ancient Egyptian, the word for cat was Myeo or Mau. Cats were worshipped as goddesses who held the light of the sun captive in their glowing eyes.
